"School-Economy" aims to provide young people with information on the South Tyrolean economy, to arouse interest in economic topics and to promote entrepreneurial thinking. To this end, the IER – Institute for Economic Research offers a series of initiatives for all secondary and vocational schools in South Tyrol.
Some initiatives at a glance:
- The teaching material, workshops and events are intended to provide young people with basic economic knowledge and information about the local economy.
- During the visits to the Chamber of commerce, the students learn more about the various services for South Tyrolean companies.
- In the annual "Imagine the future" competition, participants are asked to put themselves in the shoes of an entrepreneur and develop innovative products or services for the South Tyrolean economy.
- The IER also coordinates a ‘School-Economy Working Group’, whose members include the Chamber of Commerce, business associations, education departments, various institutions and the University of Bolzano. On our website, you will find a clear, comprehensive overview of all the initiatives for middle schools and upper secondary schools organised by the working group’s partners, all in one place.
