School-Economy aims to provide young people with information on the South Tyrolean economy, to arouse interest in economic topics and to promote entrepreneurial thinking. To this end, the IER – Institute for Economic Research offers a series of initiatives for all secondary schools in South Tyrol.
Some initiatives at a glance:
- Teaching materials, workshops and events are intended to provide young people with basic economic knowledge and information about the local economy.
- During the visits to the Chamber of commerce, the students learn more about the various services for South Tyrolean companies.
- Every year, two competitions are organised for students to promote entrepreneurial thinking and creativity.
- The IER also coordinates a ‘School-Economy Working Group’, whose members include the Chamber of Commerce, business associations, education departments, various institutions and the University of Bolzano.
